Kenneth A. Shapiro represents clients in commercial litigation, creditors’ rights and bankruptcy, business and commercial law, contracts, the Uniform Commercial Code, real estate, commercial collections, and landlord/tenant matters. He and Richard Mitchell started Mitchell & Shapiro LLP after Mr. Shapiro practiced at Powell, Goldstein, Frazer & Murphy; Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker; and Altman, Kritzer & Levick.
Mr. Shapiro graduated magna cum laude from Duke University, where he was on the varsity wrestling team and was the photo editor of the college newspaper, and from the Emory University School of Law, where he was the Notes and Comments editor of the Emory Law Journal. He has passed the Certified Public Accountants examination and is a member of the UCC and Creditors’ Rights Committees of the State Bar of Georgia and the bankruptcy section of the Atlanta Bar Association.
Mr. Shapiro has served three terms as president of the Princeton Square Homeowners Association and lectures on creditors’ rights and bankruptcy topics.
Mr. Shapiro is on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Chapter of Wrestlers in Business and serves as Community/Assistant Wrestling Coach at North Springs High School.
